Ananya Banerjee
An alumnus from the University of Cambridge, the University of Calcutta, the University of Texas at Austin, the Film and Television Institute of India at Pune, and the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development at Kaula Lumpur, Ananya has been a media professional for more than four decades. She has worked in various Doordarshan stations, including Kolkata, Central Production Centre. Delhi and the Directorate General, Doordarshan. Ananya also directed a four-episode documentary titled Celebrating Mrinal Sen. It was primarily based on conversations between Sen and renowned film critic and analyst Sameek Bandyopadhyay. It included excerpts from Sen's films and comments from son Kunal and the likes of Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Madhabi Mukhopadhyay, Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Dhritiman Chatterji, Annu Kapoor, Suhasini Mulay, Mithun Chakraborty, Nandita Das, Ranjit Mullick, Mamata Shankar, Aparna Sen, Anjan Dutt, Bibhas Chakraborty, Arun Mukhopadhyay, Pankaj Kapur, MK Raina, Govind Nihalini, Shyam Benegal, Jwahar Sircar and Suman Mukhopadhyay.
