A graphic novelist/cartoonist, Sarbajit contributed comic strips and cartoons to some leading city dailies including The Statesman, The Economic Times and Aajkal for over a decade. His first comic book, The Adventures of Timpa, was exhibited and certified in BD '87, Switzerland. His big graphic novel - Carbon Katha (2010) - is on climate politics. Awards
    His Paining in Time won the Best Arts/Cultural Film at the 42nd National Awards in 1995 for "using the play of light to enter the surface of a culture, unobtrusively and allowing it to reveal its magical metaphysics".
Did You Know?

His graphic narrative was exhibited in Mangasia, Wonderlands of Asian Comics (Barbican, London). Yet another graphic narrative - Following the Box - was exhibited in Kolkata, New Delhi, Chicago and Los Angeles. His cartoons were also published by China Daily (2007), Beijing. He is one of the editors of Longform, a graphic narrative anthology published by HarperCollins.
