Sanat Kumar Dasgupta
Educated at Rewa and Kolkata, Sanat developed an interest in film-making in the early '70s. He has also directed a teleserial titled Bangla Galpo Bichitra. He has also worked as an associate director with Goutam Ghosh for his National Award-winning films - Maa Bhoomi and Dakhal. He directed and produced a dozen of documentary films.

Awards
- His Duo won the Best Industrial Film at the 36th National Awards in 1988 for "capturing with economy and precision the mass production of ceramic and glassware in exquisite photographic detail".
- His Kabitar Ananta Jatrapathe won the Best Biographical Film at the 39th National Film Awards in 1991 for "imaginative visualisation of poetry of the late Jibananand Das and relating it to his life and time".
