Sanjeet Chowdhury
A student of South Point High School, he joined the merchant navy. He was always interested in studying cinema. After quitting the merchant navy in 1987, he joined as an assistant of Mrinal Sen during the making of Kabhi Door Kabhi Pass. Mrinal was his father's friend. His son, Kunal, was a friend of Rahul. When Mrinal was making Ek Din Achanak, Sanjay Bhattacharya did a documentary on the making of the film titled With Mrinal Sen. The 39-minute-long documentary had Sanjay's cinematography. Rabiranjan Maitra had edited it. Rahul was the associate director for it and wrote the script too....

Did You Know?
Since its inception, Rahul has been associated with Suchana - an organization meant to support a rural community. It started with a handful of mostly adivasi kids. Now, there are around 250 children, majority of whom are adivasis and aspiring to be the first generation literates in their community.
