An alumnus of the Government College of Art and Crafts, Raghunath Goswami joined advertising and had worked as a creative art director at J. Walter Thompson and Everest Advertising. He, along with the likes of Satyajit Ray, OC Ganguly, Annada Munshi and Makhan Dasgupta, went past western influences to create advertisements that had an indigenous flavor.
