Media consultant and documentary film maker Malay Dasgupta studied Comparative Literature at Jadavpur University. He started making independent documentaries after completing his post-graduation. Jadavpur University's film culture prompted him to make documentaries out of passion. He started filming short documentaries for Doordarshan, National Network and some private channels. These were some 10 to 12 minutes duration. The subjects included Narayan Debnath, sculptor Chintamoni Kar and actress Madhabi Mukherjee. His documentaries have been screened at different film festivals in India and abroad. In 2021, Dancing with Nature has been an official selection at the competitive category of Boston's 7th Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival, Medium Length Documentary Competition ...
