Bimal Roy

Before settling in Mumbai, director Bimal Roy had worked at Kolkata's New Theatres for a number of years. During those days, he used to reside at Sardar Shankar Road in the Lake area. That locality was then a haunt of many artists and authors. Bimal Roy's house no longer exists. Today, a highrise stands at the same address.
