Gauriprasanna Mazumdar

Lyricist Gauriprasanna Mazumdar's house is now the party office of CPIM. On the pavement opposite that house stands a bust of the lyricist that was erected by Gauriprasanna Sanskriti Mancha. West Bengal government's Public Works Department has helped the organisation in this endeavour of installing the bust. The marble plaque on it has the first two lines of Gauriprasanna's famous song -- Amar gaaner swaralipi lekha robe -- inscribed on it.
