Anup Kumar

Actor Anup Kumar's father was the well known singer-actor Dhirendranath Das. Originally residents of north Kolkata, Anup Kumar was born in Hari Ghosh Street. His childhood was first spent in Baranagar before the family shifted to Northern Avenue in the Paikpara-Belgachia area. That house has made way for a highrise now. In his later years, Anup Kumar shifted to the Manoharpukur area of south Kolkata. The house where he lived still stands tall.
