Sandhyarani

The actress was born in Chunapukur Lane but grew up in various places all over Kolkata. Briefly, she stayed in Belgachia. Then, she moved to a flat behind the now-demolished Rupam Cinema. Later, she bought a house in Landsdowne near Rabindra Sarovar. Then, she shifted to Kakulia. It must be mentioned that during the 1946 riots, Sandhyarani used to stay in Chhanapatti. Word has it that she took a lot of risk and saved the lives of a Muslim family during the riots.
