Sailajananda Mukhopadhyay

Born in Birbhum, Sailajananda Mukhopadhyay's childhood was spent in Andal. Since the 1930s in Kolkata, the director stayed in different locations including Badur Bagan, Sukhia Street, Shankari Para, Chakraberia, Kedar Bose Lane. Most of these places were on rent. After staying for some time in Shyampukur and Baghbazar, he bought a house on Anath Dev Lane. In 1957, he sold off that house and shifted to Indra Biswas Road in Tala. Finally, that became his permanent residence.
