Raichand Boral

He is the father of Indian cinema music. Thankfully, Raichand Boral's house has not been demolished. But that isn't much of a solace if one senses the apathy in restoring it. The house, which was once a pilgrimage of sorts for musicians, now lies uncared for on Premchand Boral Street. Raichand's three sons had lived here too. Despite all its historical associations, the house still hasn't made it to the state's heritage list.
