Pramathesh Barua

It was the house of the Gauripur Estate. People used to call it Rajbari. And why wouldn't they? The prince used to once live there. Today, a part of the Ballygunje Circular Road might be named Pramathesh Baruah Sarani but nothing of Baruah's house has survived. History says that the famous Baruah studio was established here before it got shifted to the adjacent No. 12 Mullen Street. That address too has now changed. The only thing that hasn't is the glamour surrounding the name of PCB.
