He was born in Kalighat. Since the age of 10, Kali Bandyopadhyay's permanent address was Raja Sitaram Road. His father was a famous lawyer. He had bought a plot of land to build this house. Kali had spent his entire life in this house. Even till this day, the house stands tall just opposite Lake Market.
