25 Dixon Lane - this iconic address is now painted blue and white. It has long become the hostel for the students of NRS Medical College. Much before all that happened, this address used to be the mecca for musicians. Anyone who had a connection with the music world would drop by there. That included Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Faiyaz Khan... Geetasri Sandhya Mukhopadhyay had her ganda bandh ceremony there. The Jhankar Sangeet ceremony hosted in this house was famous all over India. Later on, Pandit Jnanprakash Ghosh shifted to Ballygunje.
