Dinen Gupta

The plot number 58 on Prince Anwar Shah Road has strong ties with cinematographer-director Dinen Gupta. In the yester years, two houses were built on that plot of land. Dinen first stayed on rent in the house on 58/69 Prince Anwar Shah Road. Then, he shifted gain on rent to 58/82A Prince Anwar Shah Road. That's where Dinen lived when he directed all his major films over some 17/18-odd years. This house still exists though the ownership has changed hands. Wife, actress Kajal Gupta, bought a flat in Golf Green in 1982. The flat - DC 3/6 Golf Green - was her address till her death in 1996.  Dinen Gupta also lived in the same flat. It was sold off some 10 years back.
