Debesh Ghosh

Sound recordist-turned-producer Debesh Ghosh was one of the closest friends of Uttam Kumar. He had a flat in Mumbai. Uttam would put up there every time he went to Mumbai. Debesh and Uttam had bought two adjacent flats at the Maruti building on Loudon Street. It was at Debesh's flat where Uttam had come to after completing the shooting of Ogo Bodhu Sundari on July 23, 1980. On that fateful night, he took ill and finally passed away hours later at the Belle Vue Nursing Home.
