Devaki Kumar Bose

Originally from Burdwan, director Devaki Kumar Bose was introduced to the movies by DG. During the end of the 1920s, he used to stay at DG's Mohanlal Street residence. Later on, he built his own house next to the Menoka cinema in south Kolkata. Stars from the world of movies, literature and politics used to often drop by at this residence. Actor Prithviraj Kapoor too would put up there whenever he came to Kolkata. Sons Raj and Shashi too maintained the same tradition.
