Ahindra Chowdhury

Veteran actor Ahindra Chowdhury's formative years were spent in Bhowanipore. Later, he built a palatial house in Chetla. This house still exists and a library operates from there. Post his demise in 1974, a theatre built in Chetla was named after him.
