Back in the old days, a gentleman by the name of DuCasse used to screen movies under the name of Picture House. After showing films at a house in Corporation Street that was named Bijou Theatre, he then shifted to a house in Chowringhee. This was called Picture House. This theatre was later named Tiger. Most films screened there were semi-erotic. The hall had a narrow frontage. Besides the cinema, it also had a cozy bar and a smoking area. The hall was acquired during early 90s by realtor BK Sethi.
